Álvaro de la Cruz

  When I was a child, my dream job was astronaut because I liked to travel, to see the stars and also because I watched a lot of movies related to it. When I left high school, one of my options was to study law, political science or literature. Finally, I choose journalism because it involves everything I like and you have many options to develop your career in radio, television or written media, but that decision will be discussed later, although at the moment I like to write. I decided to study at the Universidad de Chile because the score was enough for me. The experience so far has been good, the career meets my expectations and the campus provides the possibilities to develop it in addition to the constant learning we have in the classroom. I would like to be a teacher in the future, of something related to communications because I like teaching and what better to teach something that you like.

I am Alvaro. I was born in Lima, but I have been living in Santiago de Chile since 2016. I have no siblings so I am an only child.  I studied high school and also a technical career in Peru. I like to run and play soccer, I also play volleyball but not so often. I enjoy reading in my free time, but I also like to watch horror movies. I worked selling sportswear for a long time and now I sell watches. I live in the commune of El Bosque and currently live with my mother and her husband and I like the public transportation in this city because it allows me to get around thanks to the subway and buses, although the fare is expensive.
